Now in his sixties, Ba Ren is an Arts Professor at the prestigious Institute of Arts and Crafts in the city of Tianjin.

He was a student of the master Bao Di in the Chinese Central Department of Arts in Beijing, and also studied under the famous Master Sun Qi Feng.

Professor Ba Ren was honoured in 1990 with a one-man show at the Chinese National Gallery.

His works have been widely collected in the USA, 
Europe and Japan.
