Song Jin Sheng

Song Jin Sheng represents an exciting new direction in contemporary Chinese painting.

His acrylic and watercolour works borrow from the European penchant for realism, while upholding the traditional values of Chinese painting philosophy.

Song Jin Sheng was born in 1965 in Liaoning Province, in Manchuria.

At age 21, after undergraduate studies at Liaoning’s School of Fine Arts, he was accepted into the prestigious Central Academy of Art and design in Beijing, obtaining his degree in 1990.

His paintings were exhibited in the China Contemporary Arts Gallery in Beijing in 1993, and have won major prizes.

Song Jin Sheng is currently teaching at the Central Academy in Beijing,where he is also undertaking post-graduate studies.
